PhotoCull is maintained by 良则 牛 (Liangze Niu). Support is handled through the shared NoteDock support mailbox; the PhotoCull subject helps route your request.

Email PhotoCull support

Include your PhotoCull version, device model, OS version, a short description and steps to reproduce. An optional screenshot can help after you remove personal content. This button opens a draft in your mail app; nothing is sent automatically. If no mail app is configured, copy [email protected] into your webmail.

For privacy requests, use the same address with “PhotoCull Privacy” in the subject. See our privacy policy for how support messages are handled.

Photo access and missing photos

  • Check PhotoCull’s Photos permission in system settings. Limited access only includes the photos you selected; add more photos or change permission if needed.
  • A cloud-only photo may be unavailable to the local scanner. Make it available on the device using Photos before retrying.
  • On Mac, reselect a folder if its saved access is no longer valid. PhotoCull can only read permitted photos and folders.

Model downloads and scanning

  • Complete the download offered in the app before using local model inference. Keep enough free storage and use a reliable connection; model files can be several gigabytes.
  • If a download fails, check the connection and free storage, then use the app’s retry action. Access to the model host can vary by network and region.
  • For slow or interrupted scanning, allow the device to cool, keep PhotoCull in the foreground and resume from the state shown in the app. If it repeatedly stops, email the device model, app version and the step where it stops.
  • Apple Intelligence settings, language, region and model readiness can affect system AI availability. Check your device’s Apple Intelligence & Siri settings.

Deleting and recovering photos

Review the selected photos before confirming deletion. iCloud Photos can synchronize deletion to other devices. For Photos-library recovery, use Apple’s deletion and recovery instructions. Recovery is subject to the system’s rules and availability.

Mac folder files may be removed directly and may not enter Trash. Keep a separate backup before deleting. PhotoCull support cannot recover deleted originals, access your local library or promise a recovery window. Report an unexpected deletion with the source type (Photos library or folder), app version and steps; do not send the originals.

Purchases, cancellations and refunds

  • To restore purchased features, use Restore Purchases in PhotoCull with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If rights are missing, include the product name and what the app displays in your support request; do not send payment details.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions using Apple’s subscription guide. Removing PhotoCull does not cancel a subscription.
  • Request a refund through Apple’s refund process. Apple determines eligibility and processes the refund.

Clearing local results

Settings → Reset App Experience clears saved scores and scan results, manual choices, ignored-photo records and onboarding progress. Your original photos, purchases, preferences and downloaded models remain. Read about local data and deletion.
